This week might be one of our darkest episodes - at least early on. Bob & Kevin discuss the difficult subject of software and the recent Boeing tragedies. Unfortunately, the darkness carried on a bit when we discussed the responsibilities of tech/social giants like YouTube and Facebook in the wake of the New Zealand tragedy.

On an odd turn of events, we were able to look toward TWITTER to lighten the mood of the episode... all we can say is MOOOOOO! We closed things out with discussions around the recent Facebook outage and if we should have the rights to repair our super expensive cell phones.

Well, in this week's episode, Bob & Kevin kick things off discussing a recent Joe Rogan Experience podcast episode with Jack Dorsey, Vijaya Gadde & Tim Pool because, well, it was an amazing cast on an amazing show. The funny thing is, when we listen to shows like that, we get a TON of validation of our topics for discussion. At about the midway point... we actually broke into the INTENDED topic for the show - encryption backdoors... and the ethics of such things!

Well, it has been a minute, as the kids say, but Bob & Kevin are back at it with a fun new episode where we discuss about the control of truth, various conspiracies and how social media contributes. We discuss the roles that big social play in the spread of mis- and dis-information and the potential personal implications of our own social media accounts in the process!

Oh, boy... naming this episode was so TOUGH! We had quite a few discussions that contained some very interesting analogies and comparisons... so name options were abundant! Long time followers of the program will know that this is typically the time of year where we cover the CES show, and we did not stray from that topic this week. We discussed how some of the new tech is not all that new (big shock) about 4k and now 8k video (ugh) and how the XPS laptop camera is finally where all the other webcams of the world are positioned on laptops. I wish we could say we were sorry for the click bait, but one of the topics we covered tonight was the dropdown menu for gender. You will have to listen to the episode to hear how we covered it, but trust us... it is something worthy of discussion. We also discussed how our combined journalistic talents are on par with the rest of the world of tech news, in our humble opinions... LOL

We jump back into it this week after both of us have been crazy at work, traveling all over, and just dealing with everything that life has been throwing at the two of us the past couple of weeks. This episode could be title true confessions of a remote worker... but we thought that was a bit too click bait-ish... who are we kidding... We just thought of it as we were uploading the episode and the artwork was already done! Anyway, in this episode, our two courageous hosts give us a glimpse into the real life struggles of remote work in the 21st century. Frightening tales of killer chairs, bare feet, shower schedules and so much more. We really enjoyed this episode, because it is just another shining example of how two close friends can be completely different human beings.

Yup, we talked about browsers tonight... something along the lines of browser wars version 3.0. Apparently firefox is coming out with a new version that blocks all tracking out of the box... then we find out that a browser called Brave also already does this out of the box! Kevin talked about a chrome plugin that lets you pick which scripts to block and Bob worried about what all this new browser stuff will do to his robust event tracking in google analytics. We also talked a bit about the social media hearings on the Hill today and what this all means for the future of truth in our worlds... tune in and let us know what you think!

This was by far our most controversial episode! Bob & Kevin discussed propaganda, brainwashing, cults and more as it relates to when something should be banned from various social outlets and the slippery slope that comes with deciding when someone no longer has the right to spread their message. We also talk about the blurred lines between entertainment and reality and if anyone is really EVER telling the full truth and sharing all the facts. We did eventually get to our main topic of product reviews and how trustworthy we think they are with our special guest, Andrew Barta, but it did take us a while! We had tons of fun talking about many other topics including tech industry job interview controversies, social media audience building techniques and more. Oh, and we also had a few audio issues along the way that made for some entertaining space filling conversations from Bob & Kevin.
